We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, registered with the State of New Jersey, making your donations to the Foundation eligible for tax deduction.
The Tommy Vitale Memorial Foundation's mission is to award scholarships to New Jersey high school students to further their education
and to contribute to other charities that we know Tommy believed in. The scholarships are awarded according to a student's
financial need, their GPA, and their contributions to their community. The scholarships will be awarded annually to outstanding
high school students who exemplify not only intelligence, but a sense of giving back to others,
helping others in times of need and who have a well-rounded sense of themselves and their abilities. They must also demonstrate a strong
desire to succeed in their chosen careers.
In 2007, we decided to donate to two very deserving programs within Foster & Adoptive Family Service in New Jersey.
The Tommy Vitale Memorial Foundation Opportunity Grant was established with FAFS, and we also donated to Fostering Wishes for Children which
helps foster parents pay for a foster child's extra curricular activities. We intend to make these programs our beneficiaries again
because these children are often forgotten about, and they need and deserve much more than that.
We will also be donating to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in memory of Tommy because he
supported this cause very strongly due to losing his mother to this terrible disease at such a young age.
The Injured Marine's Fund has also been added to our list of beneficiaries for 2008.
We are discussing many other causes this year and appreciate any and all support we receive.
Our public donors help us keep Tommy's memory and his beliefs alive.
Thank you!
The Vitale Family
